Focus Shockwave Therapy
What is Focus Shockwave Therapy?
Erectile dysfunction is often the result of poor blood flow to the penis. The narrowing of blood vessels makes erections difficult and sometimes impossible to maintain. Our Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment for erectile dysfunction. It is typically performed in a series of 6 to 8 sessions here in our San Antonio office where we use the Storz Duolith SD-1. The SD-1 is the only true focus shockwave device used in the United States. It is used for treating urological and vascular disorders associated with erectile dysfunction, such as the build up of plaque and Peyrione’s Disease.
Benefits of Focus Shockwave Treatment for ED
Focus Shockwave Treatment for ED has zero side effects. It is the only proven and direct treatment for Erectile dysfunction that has this benefit. That means there is no pain in this noninvasive procedure. Our clients report significant improvement.
Here at Roka Health, our therapy is more extensive than typical Men’s Health Clinics that are using interior radial waves. We commonly schedule patients for a series of 6 to 8 treatments and our clinically trained staff maximizes the amount of pulses allowed per session. Roka Health & Wellness invests in state of the art equipment like the Duo Lith SD-1. Treatment is administered though our Revify Med Spa division.
Focused Shockwave is not Radial Wave or Sound Wave Shockwave Therapy
Focus shockwave treatment reaches deep into tissue. There is an energy spike from these advanced machines followed by a refractory period where there is a brief moment of negative pressure. This prompts the cell to go through a repairing process which is thought to be responsible for the vascular improvement. Radial Sound wave machines such as those branded under Gainswave do not prompt the same cellular repair. Radial sound waves are less expensive than the Duo Lith SD-1 used in our San Antonio office and do not require licensed technicians. Focused shockwave is designed to penetrate deeper into the tissue and provides all of its power at the designated depth. Radial Shockwave provides its greatest energy at its source and weakens the further it travels..
